Hyco Lake
This 3,750 acre lake boasts a 65 acre recreation park located 10 miles west of Roxboro on NC Hwy. 57 in Person County. Camping, picnicking, boating, fishing, water sports, swimming, walking and tennis are offered daily. Call the Person-Caswell Lake Authority at 336-599-4343 for more information including a map and brochure. Recreation Park - Access is available 24 hours per day Camping and Picnicking- - 65 acre recreational park with campsites, public ramps, swimming areas, bank fishing, restrooms and shelters. Located Hwy. 57 N. 10 miles on Kelly Brewer Road. Season of operation; March 15 through Nov.1. Payments accepted; personal checks, Traveler's Checks. Amenities; camp store, propane, sewage disposal, water/electrical hookups, playground, tennis courts, heated/cooled meeting house with kitchen and restroom facilities. Boating - Dual concrete boat ramps available, Annual or daily permits available Fishing - Fishing Tournaments, Several species of fish including but not limited to: Bass, Crappie, Catfish, Bluegill, and Carp Recreation - Swimming (at your own risk), Playground area, Walking (one mile around camp), Tennis Courts (in need of some repair) Safety - Three full time Person-Caswell Lake Authority Rangers patrol the lake and park area providing safety, protection and assistance. Mayo Lake
This 2800 acre lake with a shoreline of 85 miles is highlighted by a 120 acre park. Camping, walking, canoeing, kayaking, picnicking, and fishing are enjoyed daily. The park is located off Hwy. 49 North of Roxboro on Neal's Store Road (SR 1515). For a map, brochure and reservations, call 336-597-1755. Camp Sites Walking/Hiking Trail - features plant identification plaques for self-guided tours. Guided interpretative hikes are provided during the summer. Canoes and Kayaks - are available for rent. Other amenities include playground equipment, tent camping sites, picnic shelters and grills, restroom/shower facilities and bank fishing. A full-time park ranger is available to answer questions for your convenience.

Parks
Several parks are located throughout the county providing a variety of recreational opportunities including playgrounds, walking tracks, picnic shelters, tennis courts, ball fields, volleyball courts, horseshoe pits and restrooms. Rock Sportsplex
Located at 215 Wesleyan Road, Rock Sportsplex provides a lighted driving range, putt-putt and concessions April through October. Baseball, slow pitch and fast pitch softball tournaments are held weekly. For a schedule of Tourism Authority or just more information, call 336-599-6094 after 4:00p.m.

Roxboro Country Club
Located at 260 Club House Rd., Roxboro Country Club offers a traditional links 18 hold golf course (walk or ride) and a practice range with short-game practice area. A PGA professional is available for lessons. Call 336-599-2332 for reservations and rates.

Piedmont Community College Nature Trail
The system of seven trails includes two shortcuts and an observatory with a variety of terrain, trees, plants and wildlife, a picnic area with brick grill and tables. Open seven days a week during daylight hours, the total distance is 12,741 feet. Advance notice is needed only for larger groups or special functions. The trails are located on the Piedmont Community College Campus, Memorial Drive off of Hwy. 501 North of Roxboro.
